The Socialist Organizer online forum titled “The Palestinian Struggle for Self-Determination: Our Solidarity Today and Tomorrow” is one week away.

Among the many issues that will be addressed at the forum, one stands out: Forum speakers will take up the “Open Letter to Our Jewish Allies,” issued by 14,018 Palestinians under the aegis of the One  Democratic State Initiative (ODSI). [See attached petition and please endorse.]

This is a timely and absolutely necessary discussion, one that can shift the paradigm – critical at this moment. Forum participants will be able to learn the reasoning behind and the trajectory of the path forward towards a democratic and secular Palestine.

Why this proposal is not “pie in the sky”

Leaders of imperialist powers, such as Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron, the country-selling leaders of the Arab regimes, as well as many supporters of Palestinian rights have begun to push the Palestinians into accepting dialogue for an Israeli-controlled Bantustan (a ghetto) on non-contiguous fragments of land in the West Bank and Gaza and with one million stateless Palestinian refugees remaining so in Lebanon and Syria (Jordan granted them Jordanian citizenship).

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken put forward the call for “a two-state solution, the only way to ensure the long-term security of the Israeli people and the Palestinian people” (Washington Post, November 19). Blinken included the proposal to revamp the Palestinian Authority, making it directly subordinate to the Israeli government.

Hence the importance of the “Open Letter to Our Jewish Allies,” which affirms: “We aim, not to ‘evict Jews from Palestine,’ but to dismantle the so-called ‘Jewish state’ and its oppressive colonial relations of power, and to replace it with its fundamental antithesis: one democratic, secular, Palestinian state, from the river to the sea.”

This is the only solution to the plight of both the Jews and Arabs of Palestine. This is the discussion that will take place at the Socialist Organizer Forum on December 3. So, please register Today!
