Labor Beat: Chicago Anti-JANUS Protest

Throughout the US union rallies protested the case now at the Supreme Court in JANUS vs AFSCME, which seeks to weaken the ability of unions to make free-riders pay for the cost of union contracts. Oddly, the Chicago rally at Daley Center on February 24, 2018 showed an unusual combination of emotions: Anger and, unexpectedly, an almost festive atmosphere. Are we seeing here an army bottled-up for many years, having been denied the full freedom of engaging in all-out class war?
