Labor Beat: A Tale of Two Protests – Trump, Year One

On Trump’s one year anniversary, two different protest marches took place in Chicago. One was the huge Women’s March, and the other the much smaller Answer Coalition march. Labor Beat put them together in one video because they are poles in a dynamically contradictory spectrum. The Women’s March, which had union participation, was called “a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party” by a participant from the other march. The organizers of the Women’s March sought to contain the historic women’s uprising within a party controlled by Wall Street. Yet some of those marchers opposed that.
